Control Devices, Inc., manufactures a wide range of non-code safety valves. These valves are used in applications ranging from garden-type pump sprayers to air brake compressor heads. Non-code valves may be used wherever the component being protected is not an ASME pressure vessel. Non-code valves offer some economy over the ASME coded valves, but do not necessarily have the set pressure accuracy or certified flow capacity of their ASME brethren.

Model "NA"

Model "NA" non-code safety valves are compact, high temperature safety valves utilizing a stainless steel ball seating on a brass seat. Available in 1/8", 1/4", and 3/8" NPT inlet sizes.

All brass construction with stainless steel spring and ball. Available set pressure range: 50 PSI to 350 PSI. 350°F max. temperature.

Model "NC"

Model "NC" non-code safety valves are field adjustable. Knurled thumbscrew and jam nut make adjustments easy and repeatable. Valves can be unset, or factory set and locked with jam nut, or factory set and staked (to deter field adjustment). 1/4" NPT inlet.

All brass construction with stainless steel spring and silicone rubber seal. Available set pressure range: 25 PSI to 200 PSI. 250°F max. temperature.

Model "NK"

Model "NK" non-code safety valves are designed for applications where an end discharge flow configuration is required. Resilient seal insures valve is bubble-tight to within 10% of set pressure. Valve reseats at approximately 65% of set pressure. 1/4" NPT inlet.

Model "NF"

Model "NF" non-code safety valves are high capacity non-code safety valves, and can be ordered as field-adjustable units. A resilient seal insures bubble tight performance at operating pressures. Valves can be unset, or factory set and locked with jam nut, or factory set and staked (to deter field adjustment). 1/2" NPT inlet.

All brass construction with zinc-plated music wire spring and silicone rubber pad. Available set pressure range: 40 PSI to 250 PSI. 250°F max. temperature.

Model "NP"

Model "NP" non-code safety valves are designed for applications where compact size is required, and high flow capacities are not needed. Resilient pad insures valve is bubble-tight to within 10% of set pressure. 1/8" NPT and 1/4" NPT inlets available.

Model "NN" non-code safety valves are designed for high temperature applications where large flow capacities are needed.

Model "NW" is our highest capacity non-code safety valve.

Model "NCB"

Model "NCB" non-code safety valves are designed for applications where a piped or directed discharge is required. Inlet sizes available in 1/2" NPT and 3/4" NPT. Outlet sizes available in 3/4" NPT and 1" NPT.
